A Wellington family hasn't heard from a man missing in Thailand for ten days.

Andrew Missen's daughter Teal Edwards-Missen has posted a message to Facebook - pleading for information on the whereabouts of her father.

She said her father disappearsed on Ko Samui island, and never turned up to the airport in Thailand to come home.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade says locating a missing person overseas is a police matter, and family inquiries will be referred to police.

Andrew Missen is an artist and furniture designer - who's supplied furniture to a number of well-known cafes and restaurants in the capital.
