Emergency housing in Auckland is getting a two-million dollar boost from the Government.
It's due to a partnership with specialist provider Emerge Aotearoa to provide short-term housing for up to 120 people a year.
Social Housing Minister Paula Bennett said accommodation is only one part of solving homelessness, so this service will link people to further help including addiction counselling and access to education or training.
She said Emerge will also help people develop a plan to move into more sustainable housing.
