
An extra Auckland show has been added to the Ed Sheeran tour after early bird tickets sold out just minutes after being released.
Tickets were released for his March 24 Auckland concert at 1pm on Tuesday but were snapped up quickly, with dozens posting on the Frontier Touring page that they'd missed out.
A second Auckland show was added to his tour for March 25 next year.
The pre-sale for the new show begins at 3pm on Tuesday.
Tickets for the Dunedin show were available at 2pm and also sold out, but accommodation had already been booked out last week, according to reports.
General sales begin on May 23.
He's now set to play at Auckland's Mt Smart Stadium on March 24 and 25 next year, and Dunedin's Forsyth Barr Stadium on March 29.
This New Zealand leg will conclude the international tour of his latest album, Divide, which was released in early March and debuted top of the charts around most of the world.
