A disabled man killed by a train on the Kapiti Coast appears to have fell onto the tracks.
The man died after being struck by a freight train at the Paraparaumu railway station just before 11.30 this morning.
Inspector Mike Coleman says the man was in a wheelchair and early indications are he's fallen off the platform.
Police are investigating and trying to contact the man’s family.
