An 81-year-old woman who died after a bike crash in Canterbury has been named.
Gladys Irene Hanna came off her bicycle on Cones Road in Rangiora on Monday morning.
She died in Christchurch Hospital that night.
Police are investigating the accident.
Her death brought the Labour weekend road toll to five, up two from last year.
Fellow Christchurch resident Jamiey Leigh Fellows, 32, was the first victim of the holiday period.
She died after her car came off the road near Burnham Military Camp on Saturday morning.
The official road toll period started at 4pm on Friday and ended at 6am.
