Christchurch’s Mayor is delighted more than $3 billion dollars could be injected into the city’s rebuild.

Chinese Development group Guoxin International will raise the multi-billion-dollar fund, going towards investments in Christchurch’s rebuild programme.

The company’s already looking at several projects, which could include the city’s anchor projects or developing new commercial sites.

Mayor Lianne Dalziel said it’s a huge commitment to an international collaboration, as the city looks to the future.

She said it's fantastic news for Christchurch.
