UPDATED 12.05pm The body thought to be that of the last man missing from the Francie capsizing has been found.

Police say it's thought to be 56-year-old Taulagi Afamasaga. 

Just three people from the mates' fishing trip survived the disaster late last month.

Locals say there's been a large police presence this morning in Muriwai.

Eight men died when the boat they were in during a fishing charter capsized on November 26. 

The boat the men were on, the Francie has still not been found.

A funeral for one of the men, Fred Marsters is being held this morning at the Manukau Memorial Gardens Chapel in Papatoetoe.

The skipper of the boat, Bill McNatty, was farewelled last week.
