The jury is considering its verdict in the trial of the man accused of raping and murdering the Auckland mother of three Blessie Gotingco.

The jury retired shortly before midday, following a month long trial at the High Court.

During the judge's summing up, the accused became increasingly agitated and eventually tried to flee from the dock.

The judge deemed it best he stay out of the court room, while the summing up was completed.
