An award-winning kiwi entertainer has been accused of sex offences against four women.

The man, who's in his 40s, appeared in Auckland District Court yesterday where he pleaded not guilty to four counts of indecent assault and two of sexual violation.

The latter charges carry a maximum penalty of up to 20 years in jail.

According to court documents, the incidents took place between 2010 and 2013 in Auckland.

The defendant will be back in court in January.
