State Highway 1 southbound at Papakura has reopened following a serious two-vehicle crash this morning.

Police said the incident near Beach Rd was reported just after 11am and it appears two people have received serious injuries.

Traffic is backed up on SH1 Walter Strevens Dr Overbridge.
