At least three helicopters are battling a blaze in Queenstown this evening.
A Fire and Emergency spokesperson said they were alerted to the fire at a pine plantation near Coronet Peak at 6.15pm this evening.
A fourth helicopter has been requested for help, they said, but could not say for certain how large the fire was at this stage.
