Auckland Police are investigating after firearms were presented during a dispute in the city.

They say the incident happened in an apartment building in Lorne Street around 1pm.

No shots were fired, but two people involved in the dispute have minor injuries after they were assaulted.

One person said they saw armed officers talk to a couple of girls outside the Precinct on Lorne apartments on Lorne Street then enter the building.
