The All Blacks unsurprisingly dominate the finalists for the New Zealand Rugby awards.

The back-to-back world cup winners will vie for the team of the year award with the Highlanders and the world champion New Zealand under-20 side.

Steve Hansen will be the front-runner for the coach of the year gong, with competition from Highlanders mentor Jamie Joseph and Scott Robertson, who led both Canterbury and the New Zealand under-20 team to titles.

Daniel Carter, Dane Coles, Ma'a Nonu and Ben Smith are the finalists for the Kelvin R Tremain player of the year award.

Captain Fiao'o Fa'amausili, Auckland team-mate Linda Itunu and Canterbury's Kendra Cocksedge are the finalists in the women's player of the year category.
