AUDIO: All Blacks captain Richie McCaw speaks Radio Sport's Rikki Swannell about the new World Cup jersey, the upcoming test against Samoa and the Super Rugby final.
UPDATED 11.43am: It's more than just a new jersey.Â
The brand new All Blacks' Rugby World Cup uniform is being touted as a second skin for the players.Â
Sports editor Rikki Swannell reports the jersey is the most technologically advanced in rugby.
New Zealand Rugby and adidas have unveiled the new All Blacks Rugby World Cup jersey.
After pouring a quarter of a million euros into testing across two years, the German kit manufacturers adidas have unveiled in Auckland unveil a two-way woven carbon fibre-infused garment designed to stretch in a way that mimics the players' skinfolds.
The new design features patterns across the shoulders and chest, inspired by the famous leather yoke which adorned the jersey of the iconic All Blacks team The Originals.
The team toured the United Kingdom, France, and the USA in 1905-1906, losing just one match on their famous 35-match tour.Â

Adidas reports the Dynamic Stretch Analysis (DSA) technology that has gone into the jersey is used in the aerospace industry to test where aircraft wings should be reinforced.
"What we've done is worked the fabric in a certain way so that the stretch is duplicating the skin stretch," said Francois Tabard, category director for rugby at adidas' HQ in Herzogenaurach, Germany.
The fabric the jerseys are made out of is used in high-tech sail-making due to its superior strength.
Most senior All Blacks had visited the company's Bavarian innovation centre in recent years to undergo DSA scanning, Tabard said. Their input had been vital in producing a garment tailored to meet their every need.
All Blacks Captain Richie McCaw was consulted over the design and is looking forward to wearing the Rugby World Cup jersey with pride.
"To wear a jersey with a design that represents the nation's proud rugby heritage and reflects the team's success since that iconic team of 1905-1906 is hugely significant to us."Â
Coach Steve Hansen is giving it his seal of approval.
He reports anything you have to play in needs to be comfortable, but it's great it also references history.
Hansen's confirmed they will be calling other players into camp for the Samoa test, but won't reveal who they are until tomorrow.
