You are in central London and you've just won the World Cup and cleaned up at the World Rugby Awards: where do you go to celebrate?

For some of the All Blacks - including Dan Carter and Richie McCaw - the answer was apparently: let's find a strip club.

Members of the victorious team were photographed emerging blear-eyed and worse for wear from the back door of Platinum Lace strip club, reports the Daily Mail.

McCaw, Carter, Beauden Barrett, Waisake Naholo, Jerome Kaino, Aaron Smith, Victor Vito, Codie Taylor and Owen Franks were all spotted at 6am outside the club, with many of them casting aside their ties and jackets.

Smith was even photographed have a sneaky cigarette outside the backdoor.

Platinum Lace advertises itself as a "next generation Gentlemen's Club" and a a "celebrity haunt of London's West End".

Its website claims:

"Platinum Lace provides the very best and most exclusive clubs in the UK and raises the standard for premium entertainment for both men and women. All of our beautiful dancers are highly trained in the art of sensual striptease and pole dancing."

Last month the Waikato team took the Ranfurly Shield to Hamilton strip club Hush Hush after winning the Log o' Wood off Hawke's Bay.

A Snapchat photo of Waikato players Stephen Donald, Chauncy Edwardson and Damian McKenzie posing in the club appeared on Facebook, with the caption: "The ranfurly shield being taken to Hamilton strip club Hushush".
