The government has rejected calls to have alcohol sachets taken off the shelves.
Justice Minister Amy Adams insisted a ban isn't neccessary because the sachets aren't continually manufactured or widely available.
But Eden Park Community Liaison Group spokeswoman Cathy Casey said they're cheap and easy to buy near Eden Park.
"How small they were, and how easily concealed they are, and high proof volume - 20% proof - and they only cost $1.50 and I bought them in Queen St."
Casey said sachets are designed to be smuggled into sports grounds.
"We get alcohol in bottles from liquor stores, we don't need it to come in small sachets or pill form, we don't need that at all."
The Eden Park stakeholder group represents Police, businesses, residents, Auckland Transport and Auckland Council.
