A meatworkers' strike planned at eight Affco plants tomorrow has been called off.
Details are sketchy, but union representatives have met with company owner Andrew Talley and iwi leaders.
The union says Affco sites will meet in the coming days to consider developments.
Up to a thousand workers were due to walk off the job tomorrow, after the Talley's owned company became the first in the country to apply for an end to collective bargaining under controversial new laws.
