UPDATED 9.36am: A double header for the All Blacks and Maori All Blacks in Chicago this November.
The NZRU has finally confirmed one of rugby's worst kept secrets, the All Blacks will face Ireland at Soldier Field on Sunday the 6th of November New Zealand time.
The Maori All Blacks will play the USA a day earlier at the same venue.
New Zealand Rugby CEO Steve Tew said it should deliver a healthy financial return.
"We're very happy that this is an opportunity for us to make a bit of money, but importantly continue to take the profile of the game in what we consider to be a really important market in the future to another stage."
Tew expects the Ireland test will sell out with huge Irish communities in the US.
"Some very good population densities of Irish people, almost everywhere you go, but that part of the US is especially appropriate."
