Spectacular results are being reported in a world first drug trial the treatment of Alzheimer's Disease.
Some people using a new drug called ANAVEX 2-73 are regaining their ability to play music, create art and even play sport.
The trial is taking place in Melbourne, and could be the beginning of a major breakthrough.
Professor Steve Macfarlane has told the Herald Sun a larger trial will now be held, but it's extremely encouraging
"What's important in the trials is not so much how well people do on some memory scale, what's important is the outcome for the patients themselves and to see changes in people's lives I think is the most important thing."
