Emergency services are responding to a two-car crash in Hamilton.

Police were called to the incident on Tuhikaramera Rd, in Temple View, at 2.30pm.

There are currently diversions at Tuhikaramea Rd and Kahikatea Drive, and Collins Rd and Tuhikaramea Rd.

A police spokesperson confirmed one person had died as a result of the crash, and one other person was injured.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area.
