Waiheke Jazz Festival has sold out - with 3000 people expected to descend on the island for the long weekend.Â
Event director John Quigley announced the festival had sold out while talking with Tash McGill and Peter Wolfkamp on their Good Friday show.
Quigley says he was unsure this year's event would go ahead following the latest Auckland lockdowns. The event was cancelled last year due to lockdown restrictions.
"I wasn't sure we would be able to rebound but we were shown a lot of love from the community."
The Waiheke Jazz Festival incorporates Jazz concerts, performance art, exhibitions and painting workshops and a wide-ranging music genre, including DJs, bands and solo performances.
