They want the presents, but do children really know what the Christmas season is all about?

One in five children surveyed in Britain think Jesus plays for the Chelsea football club and the shepherds found the stable with Google maps.

The survey by 'Netmums' also found a quarter of the kids think Jesus was born in a church and one in 10 believe Rudolph the Reindeer was there.

The five to 12-year-olds think the Three Kings brought gifts of a wand, tiara and wings to celebrate the birth of Jesus and more than half believe Christmas day marks Santa's birthday.
