While the talk this week has been about the future of Campbell Live, it's been revealed Shortland Street is losing viewers too.
Poor ratings have been cited as the reason MediaWorks is carrying out a review of its 7 o'clock current affairs show.
But across the channel, the soap which is now in its 22nd season has lost 120,000 viewers in the last decade.
Ratings show Shortland Street has fallen from an average of 527,000 viewers in 2005 to 409,000 in 2015.
One advantage that Shortland St has is that it performs well among the 18-49 age bracket, which is highly coveted by advertisers.Â
