Ryan Gosling has finally had a spoonful of his cereal. 

Internet star Ryan McHenry, the creator of the viral "Ryan Gosling won't eat his cereal", has died after losing his battle with cancer. The clip saw the Vine user go from 18 to about 80,000 followers in one day.

Following the news, friends and fans of the 27-year-old took to social media - launching a petition to Gosling himself, asking him to finally eats his cereal. 

And, well, it worked. The Vine was accompanied with a touching Tweet from the famous actor.
