Two trucks have been blown off the road in the lower North Island.

Pahiatua police say one has come off the road between Dannevirke and Woodville.

The other was south of Pahiatua.

Police are asking drivers of trucks and high sided vehicles to stay off the road, as winds batter the wider region.

Meanwhile surface flooding on State Highway One between Otaki and Levin has led to a 30 kilometre speed limit being imposed.
