A tourist has died after being hit by a truck in Napier.
Emergency services were called to the crash near the intersection of State Highway 2B and Meeanee Quay around five o'clock..
Witnesses described two cyclists trying to negotiate their way across the highway to get to the other side.
A man was taken to Hawke's Bay Regional Hospital, but died shortly afterwards.
