Updated 8.33pm: Three people have died in a crash between a truck and a car, near Hamilton.
The crash happened just after 5:30 this evening southwest of Hamilton in Ngahinapouri.
An ambulance spokesman says three people died at the scene and a fourth was taken to Waikato Hospital with moderate injuries.
State Highway 39 at Ngahinapouri is closed.
