The Fire Service says a house fire in Levin was likely caused by children playing with matches or lighters.
NZME reports fire crews arrived at the house shortly before 11 this morning.
Central communications shift manager Belinda Beets says a man's been treated for smoke inhalation after going back in to try to put out the fire.
