UPDATED 6.25PM: Police in Lower Hutt have located Terauna Poni safe and well.
Police said they would like to thank the public for their assistance in finding him.
Earlier this afternoon police issued a statement saying they had “grave concerns” for Poni’s wellbeing, and they asked members of the public to immediately call 111 if they found him.
He was wearing a hospital gown.
