Business in Dunedin is taking flight.
Business growth in the region has led Air New Zealand to increase flights between Dunedin and Auckland to help business travellers get more out of their day.
Starting October there will be five new return services every week, adding about 70,000 seats to the route per year.
Otago Chamber of Commerce CEO Dougal McGowan says they have a large service sector, a growing tech sector and many accounting and law firms doing business in Auckland.
"I have members who have 90 per cent of their business in Auckland, but they are able to do it out of here. That means they are able to go up there for a whole days work and meet those clients as and when they need to, but also enjoy the lifestyle we have down here and the affordability."
