A man who pulled teeth from women's mouths with pliers has been found guilty on six charges.

At the Wellington District Court this afternoon, Philip Hansen was found guilty on two charges of wounding with intent to injure, two of male assaults female, one of assault with intent to injure and one of indecent assault.

The jury deliberated for five hours before returning with the verdicts.

Hansen was acquitted on four charges.

He was denied bail and will return to court next month for sentencing.
