A teenager accused of scamming people around the country out of thousands of dollars with fake computer sales has been granted bail.
Isaac Calmer - also known as Isaac Culmer, Isaac James or James Culmer - used the Facebook name "Sumwone Speshal" while allegedly advertising a Mac Book Pro for sale.
NZME reports the 19-year-old has appeared in North Shore District Court today on 19 charges, most of which involve obtaining by deception.
Judge Christopher Field bailed him to a rural Whakatane address with his mother.
He's been ordered not to use internet-capable devices.
