The identity of a Tauranga man charged with raping a woman and assaulting another with a knife has been suppressed.
The 18-year-old man who appeared in Tauranga District Court today faced charges of sexual violation by rape and assault using a weapon.
The offences are alleged to have been committed at the same Greerton address in the early hours of Tuesday.
The defendant, who was assisted in court by an interpreter, was remanded in custody by Judge Robert Wolff to next appear in court on January 22 and granted name suppression.
