Three men will tomorrow go on trial for the alleged murder of a Taupo man found dead from a gunshot wound to the chest.
Whakapumatanga Clarke, 25, Cody Paul Griffin, 25, and Daniel George Chase, 22, all from Taupo, each deny charges of murdering Scott James Henry on July 20 last year.
The trio are also jointly charged with robbing Mr Henry of a green Ridgeline Pikau bag and its contents while armed with a firearm.
Henry, 48, was later found by a family member at his property on Whangamata Rd, Kinloch.
The jury of five women and seven men in the High Court at Hamilton was selected this morning before the trial was adjourned by Justice Sarah Katz to begin tomorrow.
It is set down for three weeks and will see about 50 witnesses called to give evidence.
Max Simpkins is acting for Clarke, Bill Lawson for Chase, and John Munro and David Niven are counsel for Griffin.
