A South Taranaki man has been convicted of 35 sex charges.
36-year-old Nigel Nelson was today found guilty of 33 charges including sexual violation and sexual exploitation of a person under the age of 18, between 1996 and 2015.
He had already pleaded guilty to two charges, including rape.
Justice Edwin Wylie also found Nelson not guilty of seven other charges, saying witnesses weren't reliable enough.
However, Detective Brad Pollock says the result is a good one.
"Due to the number of charges, seven not guilty verdicts is not perfect, but it is close to it."
Before Nelson was taken back into custody, Justice Wylie allowed an emotional Karakia in the court, performed by Nelson's family.
He was then remanded in custody until sentencing on November 2.
