South Auckland Police say they've shut down one of the more sophisticated cannabis growing setups located recently.
268 cannabis plants were found at the Papakura address last night.
Police arrived at the house on an unrelated matter and searched the home after smelling cannabis.
Detective Senior Sergeant Rod Honan says they seized almost 1.4 kilograms of dried cannabis, as well as hundreds of plants in various stages of maturity.
He says from the outside of the property, nothing appeared to be out of the ordinary - but they found three growing rooms.
A 35 year old man has been arrested.
