Wellington Police have located a person of interest in the homicide investigation of Wellington man Bruce Coker.

Officers found 21-year-old Chance Rameka who had warrants out for his arrest in Gisborne and Porirua.

Police believe Rameka was in the Rossiter Street area of Tawa, on the night Bruce Coker was attacked.

It's believed he may hold valuable information about the homicide and was in the Cannons Creek area on Christmas Eve.

He'll appear in court on the outstanding warrants next week.
