Police are still looking for a gang of girls who attacked a shop worker in the carpark of Auckland's Sylvia Park shopping centre and stole her car.

The woman was set upon about 8.15 yesterday morning.

Two men were with them but did not participate in the attack.

Police are appealing for information and for any sightings of the vehicle - a silver Nissan Cefiro with the number plate CRY69.

The woman is recovering from what are now being called minor injuries.

She is an employee of Max Fashions in the shopping centre.
