A West Auckland mall has been evacuated and fog cannons in a jewellery store have been activated.

A shopper said police have “swarmed” LynnMall in New Lynn.

The shopper said she saw a fog canon go off and the roller doors come down at Pascoes Jewellers about 11.45am.

A few minutes later alarms went off, the mall was evacuated and police arrived.

”Everyone’s been evacuated and police are swarming,” she said.

The Eagle helicopter is also flying overhead.
