A man who shone a laser pointer at a passenger plane carrying 118 people as it came in to land at Auckland Airport has been sentenced to four months community detention and 150 hours community work.
Twenty-two year old Jarryd Hector was sentenced at the Manukau District Court today on a charge of endangering transport.
