The Crown has begun its closing statement in the Rhys Warren trial, saying anything that happened on the day of the siege did not justify shooting four police officers.

It's the back end of a three week trial for Warren, defending himself at the High Court in Hamilton against multiple charges of attempted murder and firing at police officers.
In closing, Crown prosecutor Aaron Perkins QC has dismissed Warren's defence of his actions, which included protecting himself and not hearing police on a loudspeaker due to being a deep sleeper.
Mr Perkins told the court there was nothing the AOS did on the day which would have justified shooting officers in the face, especially when they weren't the ones to shoot first.
The closing statement continues.
