UPDATED 10.44am: Police have revealed this morning confirmed the identity of the 71-year-old woman found dead at her home in Stratford.

She was well-known local celebrant Gwendoline Blake.

Police say a post mortem is being carried out on her body today.

A scene examination at the property should be completed tomorrow.

A 47-year-old man has been charged with her murder.

Police were called to a house in the town on Friday night by a neighbour who'd heard shouting.

Police say the woman and man knew each other, but won't comment further.
