A woman who fled from police and crashed, injuring six others, while on a drug run in Christchurch is out on bail.
Kylie Puna, who had ingested almost $20,000 worth of methamphetamine when she was caught, has been in jail since November last year.
She's today been granted her application for electronic bail at the District Court in Auckland.
Her lawyer had pleaded with the judge to consider a rehabilitative approach given her client had already spent some time in prison.
If the application for bail had been denied Puna would have lost the bed being held for her at the Higher Ground rehabilitative unit.
The judge acknowledged rehabilitation is an important factor, but warned Puna if she breached bail she'd be taken into custody immediately.
She'll be back in court for sentencing on July 28th.
