The crown prosecution has described a Taranaki man accused of murdering his son as a manipulative liar, in the High Court at New Plymouth today.
The Crown's begun its closing statements in the trial of David Roigard for the murder of his son Aaron last year.
Crown Prosecutor Cherie Clarke has focussed on how the 51 year old has not only changed his story since Aaron's disappearance, but how it's different from the story Aaron's friends have given during the trial.
She says the sole reason Roigard would lie about his son's disappearance, is because he is the sole reason for it.
Meanwhile, the jury has requested the defence's closing statements be given tomorrow, to ensure the jurors are fresh and alert so they can listen as best they can.
