Police are investigating another ram raid incident in one of Auckland's most affluent suburbs.
Officers were called to the Liquorland Boutique on Jervois Rd, in Herne Bay, about 3.15am after reports of an incident.
A witness said a blue car allegedly used in the incident was left behind before it was seen being towed away by authorities.
At the scene, the front door's windows have been smashed.
Police confirmed a vehicle had been used to force entry into the business.
"An unknown number of offenders have taken some items before fleeing from the scene in a vehicle.
"Our inquiries are ongoing into the burglary. However, are currently in the very early stages," a police spokeswoman said.
Several burglaries around Auckland overnight
The Herald understands this was one of a number of burglaries attended by police overnight, with incidents reported in Three Kings, Māngere Bridge and Takanini.
A witness said police were seen at a supermarket on Coronation Rd, in Māngere Bridge, about 3am after a burglary there.
Supermarket staff were spotted cleaning up broken glass afterwards.
