A Christchurch resident sick of waiting for resolution on his earthquake damaged property is on a hunger strike.
Peter Glasson says it's a road he didn't want to embark on but felt like he didn't have any choice.
He says they were supposed to go to court last year but that's been delayed.
Glasson and his wife Anne have been waiting over seven years for a settlement with Southern Response.
Experts say their house needs new foundations, but Southern Response says it only needs minor repairs.
The earthquake claimant was also spied on by the company.
"The tactics we've had over the last two years are just bullying and intimidation."
Peter Glasson says they've had enough.
"I've made numerous attempts to try and meet with Southern Response, and they would either ignore me altogether or use other reasons for not meeting and trying to resolve it.
"I think it could just be resolved in a day."
Glasson says he will stay on the hunger strike outside of Southern Response's office for as long as it takes to get resolution.
