More jobs are set to go at Silver Fern Farms, this time at its Belfast site in Christchurch.
It comes a month after it cut 54 jobs at its Islington plant, moving the positions to its upgraded Pareora facility, south of Timaru.
This time, the company is proposing to close its coldstore operations at its Belfast plant, and move those to Pareora, at the cost of 28 staff.
CEO Dean Hamilton said they want to retain as many workers as possible by moving them to their Belfast beef plant, Fairton lamb plant and Pareora.
