
The Engineering, Printing and Manufacturers Union insists New Zealand Post Group's $107 million profit shows is doesn't need to cut 2,000 jobs.
The company, that's also affiliated with Kiwibank, has announced the record profit after announcing plans to cut more then 2,000 jobs.
EPMU spokesman Joe Gallagher says he understands the business can't stay static, but there's clearly no need for such drastic measures.
"There are ways that you can affect change and you can do it working together to make the business sustainable, the service is protected for the consumers, and the employees have full-time meaningful employment."
