All stores across this country and Australia are shutting after the receivers' inability to find a suitable buyer.
Newstalk ZB contacted several unions on the matter, but were advised there isn't a union that organises Dick Smith workers in New Zealand.
A statement by the receivers says New Zealand staff are expected to be paid entitlements in full, up to the maximum statutory limit of $22,160 under New Zealand law.
More generous entitlements are expected across the Tasman.
The 62 remaining stores across the country are expected to close their doors within the next eight weeks.
