Bridgecorp's Robert Roest is to be released on parole.
The former director of the failed finance company was jailed in 2012 for six and a half years when he was found guilty of 18 charges after a four month High Court case brought by the Financial Markets Authority.
The Parole Board says it considers Roest's risk to the community to be low.
He'll be released this month under six special conditions, which include residing at a specific address, not contacting any victims and taking his medication for depression.
